Hello,. I wanted to thank you you so much for writing this article. You see, on Thursday night I blew up at a person I lent money to. I consider her a friend, I think, or she may be just using me. I said the most awful things. I put her down in many un-Godly ways. The real issue I learned from reading your article is that I am holding money as an idol. I knew before I lent the money that I really did not have it to lend. I should have just said no, but wanted to help and not lose ” a friend”. Maybe I wanted to look big in her eyes. What a stupid thing to lose a friend over. I was really angry at myself for lending money I didn’t have to lend. I am going to apologize to her and I will glorify God when I do. I wouldn’t have the money at all if not for Him. Money comes and goes, but treating others with love is what is important. Thank you again for showing me to check my 💓 and my motives before busting out in anger – or lending money. Your sister in Christ.

Thank you so much for sharing this with me, Christine! I am right there with you… it’s a constant process to check our hearts, motives, and reactions. So proud of you for listening to the Lord and deciding to act as He teaches us.

      Blessings!
      Mandy
