What I Read in 2018

It’s that time of year again! If you’ve followed this blog for long enough you may already know about my love for the written word. Books are a like trail markers for me. I look back at the list of books I read over the course of the year and I can remember what else was going on in my life while I was reading it. The joys, the tears, the reminiscing (re-reading old books), the questions, and the adventures…it’s like a book list diary!

Often times, God reaches me through the books I am reading and this Fall He was on fire! In particular, I’d say that the study entitled, “Discerning the Voice of God” by Priscilla Shirer was probably the most amazing study I have done with a small group in a very long time. Shortly after, the book “Remember God” by Annie Downs showed up in my mailbox in MAJOR God-wink fashion. If you’d like to know a little more about what I mean, you can read more about this in my post entitled GOD.

In addition to the books below, the most important and life-giving book of all, The Bible, was once again my number one read this year. I delved deep with friends and studied scripture closer than I have in a while. If you are not already in a Bible study, I really recommend searching out a way to dig in deep with accountability this new year!

As I always say, I don’t like to critique each book I read as we all have different book tastes and who wants to spoil the fun of your book discovery? If you do have questions about any of them; however, feel free to ask me!
